Consists chiefly of letters from Lois Rather to Roger and occasionally, Frances Larson, with retained carbon copies (drafts?) of letters by Roger Larson. Also includes a few letters from Larson to others regarding the Rathers, and some miscellaneous items and snapshots. Documents the relationship between a small press craftswoman and publisher and a prime patron, describing the difficulties and pleasures of modest fine press work.

Background The Rather Press was founded by Clif Rather in 1967 as a therapeutic hobby after a stroke paralyzed his left side. His wife, Lois Rather began to write material for him to print and the partnership of this private press began.
